Listings in LessonGateway.com are provided for the benefit of K-12 teachers and are intended to help them find the best teaching resources available on the Internet. All suggested listings are reviewed by our Editors* before being approved and are ultimately ranked by our users to separate the "best from the rest".

How do I share my favorite online teaching resources with other teachers?

First, browse our directory to find a category that is most appropriate for your submission.

Then, click the 'Contribute a Resource' text in the top right corner of the listings area. Follow the directions on this screen and click on submit.

How do I rate a resource?

To rate a resource, go to a resource's details page and scroll down to the "Rating" section. Click on the rating (number of stars) that you want to assign this resource (ratings are based on a five star scale with one star indicating very poor and five stars indicating excellent).  That's all there is to it - your vote has helped to separate the "best from the rest".

How do I review a resource?

To add a review, visit the detailed listing page and click on "Submit Review". Add your name or a nickname, the title of your review, your rating for this resource and your thoughts as to whether or not this resource is helpful in teaching your students. When you are done, click submit. That's all it takes to share your experience and expertise with teachers around the world!

Please include enough details (example: grade level used with, teaching tips, technical considerations, etc.) so that your review is useful to other teachers when deciding if/how to use a particular resource.   All postings should be: 

• written from a teacher’s perspective
• based on your first hand experience
• original (do not include material published elsewhere)
• non-commercial in nature (no promotional material or contact information)

In order to ensure that our listings best meet the needs of the K-12 educational community all resources must:

• be useful for K-12 teachers/students
• contain content on the website (example: lesson plans, online student activities, teaching tips, reference information, etc.) that can be used in the classroom (sites cannot just be links to other sites i.e. link farms)
• be free or contain some free content - if you have a site that requires a subscription or a product that must be purchased please contact us to discuss adding your listing to LessonGateway.com
• original (cannot include material published elsewhere)
• well written
