There are all kinds great online activities for students at this site created by the San Franciso Symphony Orchastra.  For example, “The Music Lab,” teaches students about tempo, rhythm, pitch and other aspects of music through an really cool interactive game. As they adjust the music, they can watch the metronome and listen to the music being played to learn about how the various elements of sound come together to make beautiful music.
