Wikipedia should be used with caution as a research source. The ability for users to go in and edit content can be very powerful but at the same time it is important to realize users can add inaccurate and/or biased content. Nevertheless, students are using Wikipedia and so it is important that they understand how the site works along with it\'s strengths and weaknesses. I always demonstrate with the students how easy it is to edit an article (and also talk about how some articles are locked) so that they understand that information found on Wikipedia (and really any information found online) must be examined critically.
