Veterans History Project
A place for students and teachers to review first hand accounts of Veterans experience in war. Contains personal naratives (audio/video interviews), corespondance (letters, postcards, diaries) and visual materials (scrapbooks, drawings, photographs) from World War I (1914-1920), World War II (1939-1946, Korean War (1950-1955), Vietnam War (1961-1975), Persian Gulf War (1990-1995), Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts (2001-present).

This is what studying history should be about. My students can go back and look at diary entries written by soldiers and first hand accounts of what it was like to be a soldier - much better than dry information from a textbook.
