Celestia lets students explore the universe in three dimensions. The program is different from most planetarium software becasue it doesn't confine you to the surface of the Earth - students are able to travel throughout the galaxy. The program comes with a large catalog of stars, galaxies, spacecraft, planets, moons, comets and asteroids.
