A non-profit organization with over 85,000 members, ISTE provides leadership and services to improve teaching and learning by advancing the effective use of technology in education. The site features many resources for teachers including the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) for Students, Teachers and Administrators as well as books for sale.  ISTE runs the annual National Educational Computing Conference (NECC) which attracts thousands of educators from throughout the world.  Also publishes several magazines/journals including Learning & Leading with Technology which features practical, usable ideas for improving K-12 education with technology.   Memberships can be purchased online.
